I am legitimately in love with this song right now. I must have listened to it 100 times already and I’m still not remotely close to being tired of it, it’s one of the best songs I’ve heard in SO long. If you’ve never heard of The Story So Far, do yourself a favor and check them out, they’re incredible. This album comes out in 2 days!
“It’s no fun to play this song, so I’m done. You said I got it all wrong. But I’m sure everything I did before doesn’t really matter anymore.”
I’M NOT A DWEEB, I’M JUST A SUCKER WITH NO SELF ESTEEM
I’m seeing them tonight!<3
I’m just really excited to see Incubus, I’ve been waiting years so I apologize ahead of time for spamming your dashboards with tons of Incubus.
So I was going through my playlists on iTunes and out of all of my 90’s songs, (in no particular order) these were my top songs and most played. If you grew up in the 90’s like I did, listening to these songs might bring back some good memories like they do for me. The countless times I heard my parents humming these songs or listening to them in the radio of our old car on family road trips or even on my way to school every day. Listen to one of them, they might just bring a smile to your face (: It’s things like this that you really enjoy from your past, it’s the feeling of being young again and not understanding the meanings of the songs but them meaning something to you because they surround happy memories at ages when you were growing up. I love them & I hope you’ll take time out of your day to listen to at least one.

Lastly, this song is from 2000 but it’s always been a song close to me that I grew up on as well and for some reason it still kind of reminds me of the 90’s. Let’s just say it had to have been recorded in ‘99. Here it is:
“Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” — Nine Days
I’m going to do a 90s week. A week full of a song from the 90s everyday, mostly because I love the 90s. I might keep it going for 2 weeks, we’ll see, so here’s the first one!
This will always be one of my favorite songs. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Your heartbeat is pulsing at night in your chest
It’s gold and it’s glowing with all the life you have left
I received your words from hospitals where you felt alone
Your words like smoke, they made me sick but they kept me warm
Run where you’ll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
Your eyes are like sea glass, so weathered and worn
From all they’ve seen of adolescence torn
The lovers who have tainted you, they pulled you into the night
They touched your skin with velvet gloves and made you feel alive
Run where you’ll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
There’s not much time
The blush in the sky begins to fade
You are weathered and worn
Your petals soft and torn
The fading color
You have bent your shoulders
To hold the weight of the world
You will surely shatter
Run where you’ll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
There’s not much time
The blush in the sky begins to fade
Give it a chance. If you were ever a fan of JamisonParker or Jamison Covington like I was, you should definitely check it out. Unique.
PLEASE check out my friend’s band Set The Sun, they’re amazing!
A few of the guys in the band are really good friends of mine and it would mean a lot to me if you took a moment to listen to their single, “No Knives For Nathan” which is also available on iTunes! Their debut EP is being mastered right now and will be out soon (:
